We said goodbye to our beautiful Cleo, aged 21, just over three weeks ago. Though we knew she couldn’t live forever, up until three weeks before she left us, she was pretty healthy for a geriatric cat. Yes, she had the usual old lady picky eating habits, was visibly slowing down and had known kidney disease (which we seemed to be managing ok) but was generally pretty with it and lively, so it was hard to think about “the time” that eventually had to come.
