Wow, it’s been a wild ride for you this year. I am glad you are recovering well. Wishing you all the best for your continued recovery and October’s race.
You’re back! You’re here! Your faithful readers are happy to read you back in long form! Thank you for encapsulating the hardest of summers. Onwards onwards -- one of your many strengths indeed. 🩷
Dear Mardi! May the Lord continue to bless you! What an amazing journey you had! I am so glad that you recovered and shared your story. I am sure that it was a scary, scary while for you and your family. So glad that you are on the road to recovery and strength and your "old" self. Peace
Mardi! I am so glad that you’re starting to feel better, and that your recovery is going smoothly. It is fabulous that you’re back in the classroom. Understanding what you’re able to tolerate is probably the biggest challenge. Your enthusiasm and the way that you’ve been able to manage this long recovery process are very inspiring. Ian sends his love.
Thanks so much! For sure understanding what I am/ am not tolerating is a huge challenge and it's still a work in progress. Love back to Ian (and you all!) xo
Oh my gosh, even though I know the story, reading it again here brought both tears and smiles. We are so grateful you are still with us, dear friend. And that meatball story? Such a small thing but such a positive sign. Where was the cream, indeed. ♥️
A year of note in your life thus far. And, clearly, you've learnt much from what was, initially anyway, a dreadful experience. Glad you're back and prospering.
Thank you for sharing this about your journey, it sounds so scary and I'm relieved you're gradually getting through to the other side. I like the "as tolerated" recommendation, it's important to push ourselves a little after disasters as staying put too long is rarely beneficial in the long term. Thinking of you! xx
Thanks xo I DO understand the pushing yourself a little but this is unprecedented and I literally DO NOT know sometimes HOW I am feeling "Is this normal?" "Should my head feel like this?" etc... So for a second guesser it's a little much sometimes. but I'm getting there!
Thank you so much, and yes, I hope most people reading don't have to learn about this from first-hand experience.

It really has been the least fun and longest roller coaster ever 😯

You are a strong person Mardi. It is generous and courageous of you to share your story.
Thanks. It helps with the healing too!

Somedays, yes, I am prospering, others not so much. It's a balance I'm learning how to manage!
I am so happy you are doing well!
Thank you!
